How to Find Moyock Baptist Church

    Moyock Baptist Church is located at 123 Oak Street in Moyock, North Carolina.

    The Moyock community is located on NC 168, just south of Chesapeake, VA, and the NC-Virginia state line.

From the North (Virginia)

    Travel south on VA 168 (Battlefield Blvd or Great Bridge Bypass) to the Virginia-North Carolina state line, and continue straight. The second stoplight is Shingle Landing Road; turn left. Cross the railroad tracks and immediately turn back to your right onto Oak Street.

    The church is located one block down the street, on the left, between Cherry and Church Streets.

From the South (Sligo, Currituck, Elizabeth City, etc.)

    Take NC 34 from Elizabeth City or Camden to Sligo, and turn left onto NC 168 North. Coming into the Moyock community, proceed straight through three consecutive stoplights. After the third stoplight, take the next road to your right, Oak Street.

    Oak Street goes up over the railroad tracks, and bends immediately back to the left. The church is located on your right, between Church and Cherry Streets.

From the West (South Mills, US 17)

    Traveling north on US 17 from Elizabeth City (or south from Virginia), exit at South Mills.

    Travel through South Mills and cross the drawbridge over the Intercoastal Waterway, then bear right onto NC 343.

    Turn left onto Bunker Hill Road, and continue until it deadends.

    Turn left onto Old Swamp Road (aka South Mills Road). Continue for approximately ten miles until the road ends in Moyock at NC 168.

    Turn right on NC 168, heading south. At the first stoplight, Shingle Landing Road, turn left. Cross the railroad tracks and immediately turn back to your right onto Oak Street.
    The church is located one block down the street, on the left, between Cherry and Church Streets.
