Youth Activities Puppet Teams Organizing The middle school and high school puppet teams will hold their first rehearsals on Wednesday, September 3rd. The middle school team meets at 5:00 p.m., and the high school team meets at 6:30 p.m. Drama and God Rods - Start on September 7th Youth interested in drama or God Rods (creative movement or dance) should plan to join us on Sunday, September 7th, at 5:00 p.m. Music Builds Concert - September 12th The youth group will be attending the Music builds concert at the Verizon Amphitheater in Virginia Beach on Friday, September 12th, at 6:00 p.m. Several prominent Christian bands are scheduled to perform, including Third Day, Switchfoot, and Jars of Clay. Proceeds from the event will benefit Habitat for Humanity. We’ll gather at the church at 4:30 p.m., and ride the bus to the concert. The cost is $28.00, which includes the concert ticket and transportation. Further information is available on the fact sheet, copies of which are also available in Sign-Up Central. To sign up, turn in your money, either at the church office or at youth fellowship. Previously, we advertized that this event was scheduled for Saturday the 13th. That is incorrect. The correct date is Friday, the 12th. The fact sheet has been corrected, and can be downloaded by clicking on the link above. Kyle Matthews in Concert Kyle Matthews will be in concert at Rocky Hock Baptist Church on Saturday, September 27th, starting at 7:00 p.m. Kyle is a Dove Award winning songwriter, responsible for songs such as been Through the Water, What Shal We say to This, and We Fall Down. He is a frequent performer at missions conferences and convention meetings, and shared his gifts with our church in a weekend concert and worship event in 2006. We’ll gather at 4:30 p.m., eat supper in Elizabeth City, and travel to Rocky Hock for the concert. We should return home around 10:00 p.m. The cost is $3.00 for transportation, and supper is on your own. Register to go by signing the poster in Sign-Up Central.
