Programs
At Moyock Baptist Church, we take very seriously the safety of the children participating in our ministries and classes. We acknowledge the trust placed in us by parents, and we are determined to be worthy of that trust.
In July 2022, our church adopted a comprehensive policy designed to protect preschoolers, children, and youth from harm and abuse, and to protect the adult workers in our ministry from the possibility of being falsely accused.
The policy addresses a number of issues:
- staff hiring and volunteer selection and recruitment
- appropriate student-worker ratios
- off-campus activities, including those involving an overnight stay
- background checks and child safty training
- procedures for reporting a suspected instance of abuse or neglect
